Biography

Angela “Angie” F. Gurule, 61, a resident of Rio Lucio, NM passed away on March 29, 2018 in the loving arms of her beloved son, Seth while coming home for the last time from the hospital after a lengthy illness. She is preceded in death by her father, Epifanio Gurule, mother, Estefanita Gurule and close cousin, Robert “Bobby” Gurule. She is survived by her son, Seth Gurule-Romero, cousins she raised as sisters, Irene Lovato, Julie Esquibel (Danny) cousin she raised as a brother, Orlando Gurule Jr. (Linda), half-sister, Sandy Martinez, close cousins, Viola Salazar (Ruben), Julia Fernandez, Maximo Gurule (Anita), Reina Gurule, Roberta Gurule, Amy Gurule-Trujillo (Javier) and Jimmy Pacheco (Libby), close friend, Marian Fastwolf (Frank), many other family and friends including her students who she considered her “hitos” working in education.

Rosary will be recited on Friday, April 06, 2018 at 7 PM at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Penasco. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 07, 2015 at 11 AM at San Antonio de Padua Church with interment to follow at the Rio Lucio)Chamisal Cemetery.

My condolences to Seth her son. I was a classmate of Angie's for many years. We went to Elementary, Jr High and High School together, thus many years. We grew up together, she was a wonderful person. So sad to hear of her passing. May GOD give you the strength to deal with her absence.

Your mother was always happy and treated everyone with respect. When I would see her at the Penasco Schools, she would always ask how everyone was. She would never show her sickness, well not that I could tell by her cheerful spirit. Our deepest condolences for your loss.
