Arabella Timotea Borrego

Arabella Timotea Borrego – Age 72 a resident of El Guique passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 10th, 2006. She was born on December 19, 1933 to Apolonio and Arminda Gallegos. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Floyd Borrego. May their souls rest in peace.
Arabelle was an avid gardener, home maker, wonderful cook, loving mother, caring grandmother. She worked as a cook for the Espanola Schools until her retirement in 1999.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years: Arturo; 4 daughters: Rosabelle DeNoi of Albuquerque, MaryAnn Martinez and husband Mario of Belen, Pauline Borrego and Jerry of Chimayo and Michelle Borrego of El Guique; 7 sons: Michael and wife Tina, Gilbert, Ralph, Andrew, Raymond, Johnny and Jacob all of El Guique; 1 brother, Andres Gallegos and wife Mary of Fairview; sisters: Elsie Gonzales and husband Chris of El Guique, Mary R. Gallegos, Connie Orona and husband Luke of Albuquerque, Jane Trujillo and husband Tony of Chimayo, Lita Apodaca and husband Mel of Arroyo Seco; 1 sister-in-law, Virginia George of Santee, CA; 16 grandchildren: Kimberly and Kenny Branch, Jackie DeNoi, Vanessa Griego, Eric Johnson, Eugena, Nichole and Vincent, Miguel, Celina, Belinda, Angelo, Jason, Chesaray, Jakie and Jessica Borrego; one child she considered like her own whom she babysat, Jerome Fernandez; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited on Friday, August 11, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo, formally known as San Juan Pueblo. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 12th, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo. Burial will follow at the San Raphael Cemetery in El Guique. The family of Arabella Timotea Borrego has placed their trust in the Rivera family of Block-Salazar Mortuary.
