My deepest condolence to Brother Joseph Family.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of those, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
May he Rest in Peace!!!

I was part of the team that received Br Joe into the community. From day one Joe challenged us to be who we say we are and to be ever mindful of the spirit of our founders. His faithfulness and his perseverance serve as both a model and challenge. May he rest in peace.

If there was one thing that could be said about Joe, it was his persistence and dedication to the Church. He expected the Church and its authorities to be held to the same standards set by those in authorities and would not be afraid to remind those in charge to follow their own dictates. A man of his word and strong beliefs, he challenged us to look at what we as a community were doing right, what we were doing is a not so right manner, and always had a suggestion as to how we could improve. He knew the importance of Gospel values, lived by those values, and encouraged us all to study the Gospels to show us how to be better religious. May he rest in peace and help us all understand how to live so "That All May Be One."

The Sisters For Christian Community join the Brothers For Christian Community in offering our communal sympathy to Joe's sister, nephew, and niece. Joe was a much-loved member of the community, who often attended the International Assembly of the SFCC. Our prayers and sympathy to Siri Neel and her family at their great and unexpected loss.

I first met Joe at Loyola University in Chicago as the General Assembly of the Brothers for Christian Community. That was the summer I may my Final Profession. He has been a faithful and caring brother-friend all of these years. My deepest affection and sympathy goes to his family and loved ones. Joe was an exceptional influence on our community. He constantly called us to authenticity and honesty. He lived the Gospel words of Jesus and was truly kind to everyone he met. I will miss his phone calls and presence in my life. Pray for us Joseph as we do for you. That All May Be One.
