Elisa Gonzales

Elisa B. Gonzales 96, was born on December 11, 1920 in Romero, NM, passed away on Thursday December 7, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at her bedside. Elisa dedicated her 96 years of life to loving & caring for her beloved family, they were her heart & soul. Elisa’s kindness, laughter and golden heart gave life and honor to her family and friends. Her beautiful handmade treasures of pottery, quilts and woven tapestries were always thoughtfully crafted and gifted with all the love in her heart. The highlight of Elisa's life were her grandchildren and great grandchildren

Elisa is preceded in death by her husband Alfonso Gonzales, parents Jacobo & Eulalia Baca, In-Laws Hilario & Sofia Gonzales and Son-in-Law Jim Griego, brothers Guadalupe, Tony, Silfred, Flor, Bonnie, sisters Aurelia, Trinidad, Delfinia, Delia.

Elisa is survived by her daughters, Lupe Griego, Joanna Gonzales, Virginia Gurule, sons Daniel Gonzales, Jesse Gonzales, Gary Gonzales, sisters Josie Ortiz(Ralph), Bertha Armijo(Johnny), sister-in-law Gloria Baca, Grandchildren Gary A Gurule, Matt Gurule, Devona Beukema(Jim), Antonio Griego(Abelina), Davi Griego(Sara), John Griego(Phillipa), Chester Griego(Therese), her 5 great grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: Jesse Gonzales, Davi Griego, Gary Gurule, John Griego, Antonio Griego, Chester Griego.
Honorary Pallbearers: Logan Beukema, Blair Griego, Raiden Beukema, Kaci Griego, Aubrey Griego.

A rosary will be held at Rivera’s Funeral Home in Santa Fe on Wednesday December 13, 2017 at 7:00 pm, viewing to start at 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at St. Anne’s Catholic Church on Thursday December 14, 2017 at 10:00 am with burial following at Rosario Cemetery. Reception will be held at St. Anne's Parish Hall 12:00 pm.
