Flora Gallegos

Flora Gallegos, 80, passed away April 17, 2019. She was born in 1938 to Jose and Casimira Cordova both preceded her in death, along with husband, Manuel Gallegos; son, Robert Gallegos; brothers, Juan, Leroy, Albert and Mauricio Cordova. Flora lived for her grandchildren and giving to the unfortunate. She was a true educator for 28 plus years; teaching at Headstart in Pueblo, also Headstart in Questa and Taos, New Mexico. Flora was very devoted and strong in her faith. She loved to cook, she made sure you never left her home without eating. She is survived by her daughter, Denise (Macario) Torrez; sisters, Clara (Carmel) Deherrera, Frances (Arthur) Alires and Margarita Garcia; sister in laws, Lorraine, Lucy and Irene Cordova; her 6 grandchildren, Robert, Taciana, Monique, Vanessa, Alex and Macario; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will dearly miss her.

Rosary will be recited on Monday April 22, 2019 at 6 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pueblo, Colorado. A second rosary will be held Friday, April 26, 2019 at 9 AM at Holy Trinity Church in Arroyo Seco, New Mexico with funeral mass following at 10 AM. Interment will follow at the Arroyo Seco Cemetery.
