Biography


Gaston Neil Lowry, 93 resident of Santa Fe, NM, passed away on July 15, 2018. He was born in Paducah, TX on September 8, 1924 to Dona Hall Lowry and Lem B. Lowry. Gaston married Clydelle C. Lowry, on May 28, 1960.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Lem B. and Dona Lowry, brother: L.B. Lowry and sister-in-law: Denise Lowry, brother-in-law: JW Elrod and sister-in-law: Kathrine Elrod.
Gaston is survived by his wife: Clydelle Lowry, niece: Janice Gaither and Tom Gaither from Lubbock, TX, niece Kathy Box and Gordon Box from Albuquerque, NM, nephew: David Lowry and Carey Williams from Edmond, OK and niece: Brenda French and John French from Garland, TX.
He was a member of the Greatest Generation, serving in India as a MP during World War II.
He was a World War II Veteran and worked at Los Alamos Laboratories as a mechanic. His wife Clydelle worked also at Los Alamos as a designer in Nuclear weapons. They lived in Santa Fe, NM since 1974.
Neil and Clydelle liked to go hiking and hiked across the Grand Canyon two times. Neil liked to listen to opera. He and Clydelle came to Albuquerque for concerts by the Symphony Orchestra @ Popejoy Hall @ UNM once a month when they were younger.
Visitation and Viewing will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at the Kiva Chapel of Light.
A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m.
Burial at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m.
