Jackie "jacobo" Benavidez

Jackie "Jacobo" Benavidez age 76 - of Tesuque passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, January 27, 2008. He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Benavidez and grandson, Dominic Olivas. Jackie was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Tesuque. He is survived by his wife, Senobia Benavidez of Tesuque; daughters: Barbara Benavidez of Tesuque and Jeanette Lawson and husband Mark of Florida; sons: Robert Benavidez (Anita Trujillo) and Ronald Benavidez and wife Rosemary all of Santa Fe; daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Benavidez; grandchildren: Jacqueline Anderson, Jeremy Benavidez, Jason Benavidez, Amanda Gallegos, Arthur Martinez, Dakota Benavidez, Jared Benavidez, Megan Benavidez and Amelia Benavidez; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers: Leandro Benavidez and wife Julia, David Benavidez all of Tesuque and Eloy Benavidez and wife Louise of Colorado; sisters: Lucille Jimenez of Santa Fe, Sara Padilla and husband Jose of Tesuque, Inez Sena and husband Lalo, Cordelia Ornelas all of Santa Fe and Nora Jimenez and husband Johnny of Rio En Medio; sisters-in-law: Modesta Griego and Mary Dunlap; brothers-in-law: Johnny Jimenez and wife Elaine and Joe Jimenez and wife Tessie and many other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited Wednesday, January 30 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Santa Fe. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the same church with interment to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery with military honors. Serving as pallbearers will be Frank Griego, Arthur Martinez, Dakota Benavidez, Jared Benavidez, Jason Benavidez, Amanda Gallegos, Beatrice Jimenez and Jeremy Benavidez.
