James Duran

James Santiago Duran, 91, of Taos passed away on February 02, 2019. He is preceded in death by his parents, Serapio and Bertha Duran, siblings, Lalo Duran, Viola Barela, Louie Duran, Josie Martinez, Rosie Tollardo and Serapio Duran Jr., sons in law, Stephen Halmstad, Mark Kyllo and Loren Anaya Jr. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Consuelo Duran, children, Evelyn Anaya, James Duran Jr., Sharon Halmstad, Cindy Kyllo, Victor Duran (Carol), Debbie Grant (Tomas) and Eric Duran (Laverne), grandchildren he helped raise, Thomas and Melinda Tafoya, 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Mary Medina, Dolly Martinez, Patsy Welch (Ross), Bobby Duran (Cleo) and Deena Varos (Toby), many other relatives and friends.

Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 06, 2019 at 6 PM at Rivera Chapel. Evening service will be held on Thursday, February 07, 2019 at 6 PM at the Taos Foursquare Church. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 08, 2019 at 10 AM at the Taos Foursquare Church with interment to follow at 2:15 PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
