Jo Hillyer was entered to rest on January 20th, 2019 in Grants, New Mexico.
She was born to James Russell House and Juanita Inez House on September 26th, 1933 in Pecos, New Mexico and was married to Robert James Hillyer on July 4th, 1952.
She retired from the Santa fe School District and spent her retirement time with family and close friends until she became ill just a few years ago.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Russell House and Juanita Inez House, by the love of her life, her husband Robert Hillyer on January 16th, 1982, her sister Jean Francis House on September 19th, 1995, and her beloved daughter Bobbie Jo McDaniel on September 30th, 2017.
She is survived by her son Shane, wife Jennifer, Grandsons Tanner, Tyler and his wife Mariah, Grandson Denton McDaniel, wife Arlinda, Granddaughter Shandel l McDaniel and companion Rick Madrid, Kimberly Baca and husband Edward, Kelsey Martinez and companion Rudy Chavira. Her great-grandchildren Hunter Mobley, A. J. Madrid, Brittney Baca, Eddie Baca, Jaden Madrid, Drake Baca, Kamara Madrid, Ryan Chavira, and Journee McDaniel.
Services will be held for Jo Hillyer, 85, on Saturday February 2nd, 2019, 2:00 p.m. at Rivera Family Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Santa Fe, New Mexico. There will be a small reception to follow.
