Biography


Joe Howard Martinez, Jr. – Age 36 a lifelong resident of Chamita passed away leaving everyone with many memories of who he was. Joe had a loving family, he enjoyed doing construction work and he loved to work outside gardening and also loved spending time with his children. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Howard Martinez, Sr.; brother, Christopher Cruz Martinez; grandmother, Santana Cruz; uncles: Vicente "Bobo" Cruz, Jeff Montoya and George Martinez and a sister-in-law, Georgia Aquino. May their souls rest in peace. He is survived by his companion, Ella Aquino; mother, Juanita Martinez and companion Bert Jacquez; children, Joseph, Stephanie and Christina Martinez; sister and brothers: Amanda Griego and husband Jose "JJ", Emilio Martinez and Julian Martinez; step-sisters and step-brother: Georgette Mondragon and husband Herman, Maria Baca and husband Fred and Jose Martinez; God sister, Vicki Cruz; and numerous other relatives and friends. A wake service will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. at the New Creation in Christ Ministries Church in Española. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Creation in Christ Ministries Church in Española with burial to follow at the San Pedro Cemetery in Chamita with the following serving as pallbearers: Joseph Martinez, Emilio Martinez, Julian Martinez, Cornelio Griego, Isaac Cruz, Pat Aquino, Melaquas Valdez and Mike Gonzales.
