Joey Manuel Eddie Manzanares

"Joey Manuel Eddie Manzanares, age 51 passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 18, 2018 in Espanola.

Joey enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, camping, collecting sports cards & watching sports. The one thing Joey enjoyed the most, was spending time with his children, grandchildren, family & friends. He also loved spending time with his mom. Joey graduated from Espanola Valley High School in 1985. He was very involved in wrestling, basketball & football. He also graduated from Northern New Mexico College in 2006 with an Associate Degree in Applied Science & Major in Radiologic Science with honors. He was on the United States Deans List as well as the State of New Mexico Deans list.

He was proceeded in death by his mother, Nellie Manzanares and his sister Josephine Manzanares.

Joey is survived by his father Joe Manzanares, children Kevin Manzanares, Edward Manzanares, Amber Castaneda (Jose), Ambrose Manzanares (Jacquelyn), sisters Deanna Martinez (Dino), Jessica Vigil (Art), Jenell Chavarria (Ray), brothers Willie & Anthony Manzanares, grandkids, Emilo Manzanares, Josephine & Jose Castaneda, Ambrose Manzanares Jr., Goddaughter, Amanda Martinez, nieces, Tiana Chavarria & Heaven Martinez, nephews, Manuel Martinez, Joseph Archuleta, Jimmy Vigil, Lucas & Matthew Chavarria, long time friend Kenny Moya and many other Family & Friends.


Honorary pallbearers: Josephine & Jose Castaneda, Ambrose Manzanares Jr., Manuel & Amanda Martinez, Matthew Chavarria. Services for Joey will be on Tuesday, June 26th, 2018 @ 7:00pm at the Santa Cruz De La Canada (Holy Cross Church) with a mass following on Wednesday June, 27th 2018 @ 11:00am, burial to follow at the Santa Cruz Cemetery."
