Something else I couldn't fit into the space before: John was one of the most intelligent, creative and innovative Audiologists I've ever known. Some never had the pleasure of seeing that side of him in the workplace. All my best to the family. Dan Franks, former student (through 2007!)

I was GREATLY saddened to hear of John's passing. He taught me a great deal as a graduate student in the '70's and met with me as recently as last fall to advise me professionally. John was a unique individual and professional, & will be missed. He was my friend.

I had the privledge of being supervised by John while I was a graduate student at UNM. He was undoubedly my favorite clinical supervisor and we eventually became good friends. I always looked forward to seeing John at meetings and conventions, as he was such a "breath of fresh air". He will be missed by all, but left us with fond memories and a lasting impression. My love goes out to John's family and loved ones.

Marylin, I am really sorry to hear about John's passing. We worked together in the 90's (I am a speech path), and we collaborated several times on student treatment.

What a beautifully written biography! Thank you for sharing so many interesting aspects of this unassuming and modest man.

Marylin,

Sorry to hear about the loss of Mr. Grainger, he was a great guy that I got to know when I worked as Susan's.

I can just picture it now, Susan and Mr. Grainger are sitting down drinking a cup of coffee like they did every morning, talking about the good ole days..
