Jose Cornelio Tafoya

Jose Cornelio Tafoya – Age 82 a resident of Penasco passed away on Wednesday, March 21st. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Florida Tafoya; parents: Gregorio and Cleotilde Tafoya; brothers: Jose Pablo, Jose Inez and Jose Orlando Tafoya; and sisters, Maria Cordova, Juanita Leyba and Margarita Vasquez. May their souls rest in peace. He is survived by his children: Susana Vigil and (Cipriano), Doris Tafoya and (Miguel Romero), Darlene Abeyta and (Epifanio), William Tafoya and Cleo Tafoya and (Terry Murphy); brother, David Tafoya and (Merly); sister, Theresa Romero and (Mario); grandchildren: Louie Tafoya and (Michelle), Felicita Pinon and (Alex), Cipriano Vigil Jr. and (Kim), Cecile Gomez and (Ronnie), Miguel Romero, Jr. and Rachael), Orlando Abeyta and Aileen Abeyta, 17 great grandchildren, and numerous nephews, nieces and good friends. A rosary for the repose of the soul of Jose Cornelio Tafoya will be recited this evening at 6 o'clock at the San Antonio Catholic Church in Peñasco with the Celebration of the Mass of the Resurrection to follow the Rosary that evening. Burial will be held on Friday at 10:30 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family of Jose Cornelio Tafoya has placed their trust in the Rivera family mortuary.
