Juan Chavez

Juan de Los Reyes Chavez, 98, of Cerro passed away on July 30, 2005. He is preceded in death by his parents, Desidero and Gregorita Chavez, sisters and brother, Maclovia Mares, Teresita DeHerrera, Tomasita Vigil, Flavio Chavez and grandson, Melvin Chavez. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Delfinia Chavez, children, Ernesto Chavez (Dulcinia) of Bosque, Gloria Visarraga (Paul), Joe D. Chavez (Socorro), Rebecca Chavez, Francisco Chavez (Manuela) all of Santa Fe, Eligio Chavez of Cerro, Ruben Chavez (Donna) of San Idelfonso, niece and nephew he raised, Claudio Martinez of Salida, CO and Leonila Garcia of Center, CO. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren

Rosary was recited on Tuesday, August 02, 2005 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Cerro. Funeral mass was held on Wednesday, August 03, 2005 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with interment to follow at Cerro Cemetery.
