I’m sorry for your loss. Me Blea was an incredible person. I met him at the VA while him and my dad were getting treatments together. My dad Is Ed Torrez. He passed away a year ago. I loved going with my dad to his treatments so we could visit Juan. Him and my dad were really close. I also became really close to him. I’m really gonna miss him and his incredible stories. He will be missed by many people. I can already picture my dad so happy to see him in heaven. Every time they would see each other at the hospital they would be so excited to see each other. God bless.

As a fellow veteran, I wanted to add to my previous condolences to all of Juan's loved ones, that it will be easy for me to hold Juan in memory, especially because of his compassion, kindness, and the fact that he and my wife, Maureen, shared the same birth date, March 5th.

May the Holy Spirit comfort you all during this period of bereavement, and always, in Jesus' name!

My condolences to all of Juan Blea Sr.'s Family. I met Juan many years ago in El Rancho (Pojoaque Valley), NM. He has begun a relationship with my ex-wife. Right away I realized what a nice guy he was. He invited me to go for a Coke in Pojoaque. Through the years, I would see Juan occasionally, usually at a local store, restaurant, or gas station. He treated my sons, Gary (& Isela), my grandchildren, and Dennis so decently. I consider Juan a friend! I will miss him, our discussions and concerns. I thank him for his service to our country! Thank you, Juan, for being a concerned friend! May Almighty God heal your sorrow, Familia, and bless you through the years to come! Cherish your memories of Juan!
Sincerely,
Joe S. Roybal

My deepest Condolences to the family of Mr. Blea. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Blea years ago here at the Library, he sure did love to read books, but he had his favorites. He was such an amazing man who I love dearly and I sure am going to miss him and his visits here at the Library. He would always call me his angel. Love you Mr. Blea!
