Margaret Garduno

Margaret (Maggie) Garduno, 85, was born March 26, 1932 in Tapia, NM and was lifted into the arms of the Lord on Friday, December 29, 2017, from complications from a stroke. She was born to Daniel & Lugarda (Lala) Tapia. She is preceded in death by mother Lala Tapia, husband Miramon, sons Miramon Jr. & Eloy, granddaughter Savanna Salazar and great great granddaughter Nataleah Garduno, daughter-in-law Susie, and sister-in-law Alice Tapia. She is survived by Virginia, Robert (Linda), Pauline, Michael, David (Rose), John (Darlene), Ruth (Ron), 35 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren, 5 greatgreat, and brother Adam Tapia. Margaret was a homemaker who raised 9 children with an abundance of love. She was a very caring woman with a huge heart. She was always in the kitchen, and everyone especially loved her tortillas and sweet rice. Her favorite football team was the Denver Broncos. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her. Serving as pallbearers are her grandchildren: Ricky, Shannon, Eloy Jr., Miramon Jr., Michael, Jason, David, Anthony, and Ronnie. Services will be held at Rivera Family Funeral Home (Kiva of Light Chapel) 417 E. Rodeo Rd. A viewing will start at 11:00 am, with the funeral ceremony starting at 12:00 pm, followed with the internment (on-site at Memorial Gardens). A reception will be held at the Elks Lodge, 1615 Old Pecos Trail.
