Maria Lupita Gonzales

Maria Lupita Gonzales, age 89, a resident of Vadito passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 19th, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents Jose Brigido and Bersabe Lopez; sisters, Margaret Barela (Joe F.), Sally Ortega (Jim) and Alice Gonzales (Robert); son, Johnny Gonzales; granddaughter, Christina Gonzales and great-grandson, Francisco C. Cordova. Maria Lupita was born to Brigido and Bersabe Lopez in Trinchera, CO . She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She always kept her faith in the Lord. She was a very hard worker and had unconditional love for all of her family. She was married to Juan Estevan Gonzales for 68 years. She is survived by her loving husband who never left her side, Juan E. Gonzales; daughters, Bertha Lovato (Franklin), Charlene Gonzales (Greg†), Elaine Lovato (Joseph), Dora Perea (Lee), Patricia Martinez (Marty); sons, Andy Gonzales (Joann), Bobby Gonzales (Rebecca), Ben Gonzales and Frank Gonzales; 19 grandchildren (Marie, Amy, Julie, Andrew, Pamela, Leticia, Cristina, Amanda, Bobby Jr., Gerald, Lupita, Alex, Conchita, Vanessa, Jennifer, Doralee, Nichole, Christopher and Angel); 22 great grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Public Visitation will begin at 6 pm on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Nuestra Senora de Dolores Catholic Church in Vadito, NM with the rosary to be recited at 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 9 am at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Penasco, NM. Burial to follow at the Vadito Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Antonio Cordova, Andrew Gonzales, Gerald Gonzales, Alex Hualde, Doralee Perea, Bobby Gonzales Jr., Christopher Martinez and Angel Martinez.
