Mariano (Ruben) Romero

Ruben Romero, 66, went home to be with Our Lord on January 9, 2018.
Ruben was a lifelong resident of Santa Fe, NM and was an amazing husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother and uncle.
He was preceded in death by his brother Tony Romero, father Florencio Romero, mother Mary D. Lopez Romero, sister Bertha Romero, brother Florencio Romero, father- in- law Gregorio Roybal and stepmother Mary Chavez Romero.
Survived by his loving wife Annette Romero, daughters: Michelle Ortiz, Melissa Ortiz (Bobby Mora), and Monique Wood, mother-in-law Bertha Roybal, sisters: Lorraine Gurule (Lawrence), Patricia Landin (Danny), Anita Romero (Orlando), brothers: Orlando Chavez and Clyde Chavez, brothers-in-law: Greg Roybal and David Roybal (Mickie), sisters-in-law: Judy Gonzales (Gilbert) and Julie Robinson (Tony), grandchildren: Lisa, Karlee, Kasey, Alexus, Nate, Jacob, and great-granddaughter Nevaeh. Numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

A Rosary will be recited at Rivera Family Funeral Home, 417 E. Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, NM on Sunday,
January 14, 2018 from 7:00-8:00pm, following the visitation at 6:00pm. A Catholic Mass will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Santa Maria de la Paz Church, 11 College Avenue, Santa Fe, NM at 11:00am.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
