MARTHA M. DEUBEL Martha M. Deubel passed away on January 16, 2018, in Santa Fe, NM. Martha was born Martha Marie Barczinski on January 27, 1925, in Lens, Pas-de-Calais, France. Martha married Constantin (Connie) Deubel in 1949, and they were married for 61 years until his death in 2010. Martha lived in France until 1952, when she emigrated to Canada and later to the United States. She lived in France, Canada, and Connecticut before moving to Santa Fe in 1954. Martha later retired to Green Valley, AZ, but returned to New Mexico in 2010. Martha was a talented seamstress, who enjoyed dancing, board games, and traveling the world with her husband. Martha is preceded in death by her husband Constantin Deubel; and her son Richard Deubel. Martha is survived by her son Christian Deubel (Irene); her grandchildren Jaquie Deubel, Jesse (Lisa) Deubel, Rory Deubel, Jolene (Cruz) Lujan, Ashlee Deubel (Lorenzo) and Justin (Ashley) Deubel, as well as ten great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Beehive Homes in Santa Fe, and the staff at Heritage Home Healthcare & Hospice, for their excellent care that they showed Martha during her final years. I am so sorry to hear of Martha's passing. Martha had a wry sense of humor that always gave me a chuckle. Having known her for over 37 years, I remember what a hard worker and devoted wife she was. The last conversation we had, she expressed her deep sadness and loneliness without Connie. My sincere condolences to you and your family.
