Martha Romero

Martha Lucille Romero, 72 - A native of Ribera, New Mexico passed away on March 14, 2019. She was born in Ribera, New Mexico on June 3, 1946 to Filiberto and Estella Rivera. Ms. Romero was preceded in death by her parents: Filiberto and Estella Rivera; brothers: Lucio, Larry and Donald Rivera. Martha is survived by her sons: Paul, Leonard and Martin Romero; grandchildren: Lucas and Kayla Romero; sisters: Lugie Valdez and husband Rudy of Santa Fe, Dorothy Martinez of Las Vegas, Rosanna Lynch of Philadelphia, PA, Esther Aguilar of Pueblo, CO., Marilyn Rivera of Denver and Christella Montoya and husband Florian of Chimayo; brothers: Roger Rivera, Filiberto Rivera, Jr., Louie Rivera, Lawrence Rivera all of Ribera, Henry Rivera and wife Marcella of San Juan. She was a retired NM State Employee and was a member of St. Francis Cathedral Church. A rosary will be recited on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the San Miguel del Vado Catholic Church with a Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Martha will be laid to rest following the Mass at the San Miguel Cemetery and a celebration will be following the burial at the Ribera Community Culture Center.
