As Matt aged gracefully, his life seemed to become easier. Through all of his escapades he smiled even at the "worst" of times. Sharon, Christie, Lafe and kids - your support of Brother Matt has always helped him through difficult times.
Over the years his smile has never left him - such a gentle spirit, and like the rest of his family - always there for the others and always smiling ~ forever smiling and you know he still is and always will be.
The Special Beings come to earth and choose the most difficult paths to trod. Matt was a very Special Being to cross my path and for that I am thankful.

I didn't find this site until today. I knew Matt but a short time. So sincere was his outlook on life, always seeming to put hardships behind him. We grew close in the days preparing for Lafe's coming wedding. His love for his Mother and Brother and Sister would have been hard to beat in other relationships families develop. He asked if he could call me "Dad", but was afraid to ask you, Mom, what you would say. Lafe, Kristi, and others, I am glad I got to know you for the short time I was allowed. I miss him too.
