Raymond C. "Junior" Romero – Age 62 a resident of Española passed away on Friday, November 18, 2005 unexpectedly. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carmen Romero; and parents: Ramon and Isabelita Romero. May their souls rest in peace. He is survived by his children: David Romero of Española, Renee Lopez and husband Oliver of Española and Fernando Romero of Española; brothers and sisters: Jessie Vigil and husband Mike of Santa Cruz, Sylvia Romero and companion Roman Aragon of Española, Melva Romero, Ruby Naranjo, Danny Romero and wife Debbie all of Santa Cruz; mother-in-law, Stella Garcia of Las Vegas, NM; aunt, Josie Maestas and husband Abedon of Arroyo Seco; grandchild, Isaac Lopez; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 21, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial will follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Ray Baca, Adam Martinez, Michael Vigil, Robbie Olivas, Steven Romero and Anthony Naranjo. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Roman Aragon, Raymond and Joseph Vigil, Jake Rodriguez, Roger Maestas, George Benavidez, Tony Sanchez, Chris Martinez, Jeff Vigil, Tom Montoya, Mike Vigil, Adam Bauman, Lino and Antonio Maestas, and Peter and Jerome Sanchez.
