Biography

Theresa Oralia Garcia was born on March 28, 1948 to Maguin and Teresa Romero in Los Alamos, New Mexico, and went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on November 10, 2017. Theresa met and married Eziekel Garcia in 1968. Theresa and Eziekel had two children, a daughter Regina and a son, Samuel. During their married life the couple resided in Espanola, Colorado, Grants, and Las Vegas, Nevada. Theresa loved to spend time with her family and friends, she loved to tend to her house plants and her pets.

Theresa is preceded in death by her father, Maguin Romero, Sr., father-in-law Joe Garcia, mother-in-law, Virginia Garcia, sisters, Viola Miera and Carol Blea, brother Albert Romero, brothers-in-law, David Garcia, and Samuel Serrano, Sr., sister-in-law Emelda Garcia, niece, Diana Trujillo, nephews, Richard and Danny Miera and Robert Trujillo.

Theresa is survived by her husband of 49 years, Eziekel Garcia; children, Regina Providenti and Samuel Garcia (Loretta); grandsons, Nicholas and Christopher Providenti; mother, Teresa Romero; sisters, Ferminia Serrano, Andrea Lovato (Pat), Anita Salazar (Ray), Dorothy Martinez (Matthew) brothers, Maguin Romero (Lena), Amadeo Romero and Luis Padilla (Elaine); sisters-in-law Rebecca Floyd (Jim), and Irene Gurle (Dino), brothers-in-law Julian Garcia and Phillip Blea, Sr., many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A family viewing will take place on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the Rivera Family Funeral Home Chapel, Espanola, New Mexico, from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM.

A dinner will follow at the Beatrice V.Q. Martinez Senior Center

Uncle Zeke, Regina, and Sam. My family and I want to give our most sincere condolences to you and your families on the loss of Aunt Teresa.
