Biography


Wallace Dayton Chatwin, 80, a resident of Bosque Farms since 1997 and formerly of Taos died Saturday, September 16, 2006. He is survived by his spouse of 57 years, Nora; children, Susan and husband Stephen Peterson, Lynn and wife Joni Chatwin, Carolyn and husband Rich Murset, Lorraine and husband Dave Reschke, Kevin and wife Shannon Chatwin, Sherri and husband Jeff Thayne; 27 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister Gloria and brother Gordon. Before moving to Bosque Farms, Wally was a long-time resident of Taos, NM where he was a building contractor. Wally was a respected member of his community and well known for his humor and outgoing personality. He was an active member of his church.

Services were held September 20, 2006 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Los Lunas and on September 21, 2006 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Taos with interment at Miera Family Cemetery in Taos.

I couldn't have asked for a better Grandpa! He always cheered me up with a ridiculous joke, opened my eyes when I was blind and stumbling, and always made sure that I knew how much he loved me...and how badly he needed that shoulder rub. There was never a dull moment with him there! I am so blessed to be in his eternal family. I love you and miss you tremendously, Grandpa!
