I had the opportunity to shared a couple classes with him during his time at CNM, I am shock to hear of his death. He was a great young man and had a very kind heart. My heart is with his family and friends.

Wesley was my student in English 1102 at CNM--an extraordinary young man in a class I won't forget. I am so grateful for his "old soul" wisdom, his keen insights, and his kindness in the classroom. This, then, from a poem he shared with the class ("Immortal Sails" by Alfred Noyes):
"Now, in a breath, we'll burst those gates of gold,
And ransack heaven before our moment fails.
Now, in a breath, before we, too, grow old,
We'll mount and sing and spread immortal sails.
It is not time that makes eternity. . ."
No Wesley, it is not time; it is light--brilliant and illuminating, like your life. Love and prayers to Wesley's family and friends.

Dear Bruce and Terry, I was very saddened to see that your son past away this month. I did not know Wesley, but I know you both from working at your house over the years. He was and will forever will be your son and this loss can be nothing less than unimaginable. Please know I am thinking of you both and sending my love to you and your family. Scott, Terry and family, my heavy heart is heavy hearing the news of Wesley's death. I know the pain you are feeling and there are no words that will make it better. I remember Wesley as a bright, blond-headed little boy in my kindergarten class. He was full of joy, laughter and curiosity. My heart-felt condolences to Wesley's family and friends.

Any words, at this time are meaningless compared to what you must be going through. I only met him once but he came across as a handsome, caring and polite young man. Wish I had gotten to know him better. Please, accept my heartfelt condolences and I am keeping you in my thoughts always. Love to you all.
