Just came across his obituary by accident. When I worked for Kerr McGee in the 1970’s Willie Sanchez worked there and treated me with great respect, will never forget he had so much confidence in me and together we’d show other workers how to do the job. RIP

Condolence to all the family from Colorado. I'm a very good friend of Williams sister, Priscilla Barcelon, she is taking this very hard. I wish she was in good health to be there with her family. Willie Sanchez,was a man of intellegence,loving caring ,always helping someone.i met Willie in Dec. 1974,when i got hired at the kerr McGee corp. In Grants NM.he was my mentor,it was him who helped me in all i know about urainium mining.He went out of his way to teach me on the mining manual.He was like my dad,respectful,funny,loved life and we all loved him.after mines closed.i lost track of him for 30 years,iwould ask,looked.And one day omg,somehow we met at a christmas party in Grants,i was so happy,we both were.ever sence we talked on phone and visited.we loved that man so much.but we are saddened by his sickness and parting,he will be missed terribly.condolences to the family,and blessings to Lydia,Frances,Julie, and Ray.prayers for all your families.
